August is National Wellness Month. This is the month to focus on self-care, managing stress, and promoting healthy habits. Focus this month on creating healthy routines in your life and see how much better you will feel. GetSetUp has a special series of classes and a fun challenge to help you reach your goals!
Research has shown that too much stress and not enough self-care leads to problems, and the surest way to promote wellness is through self-care.
So this month, take the GetSetUp Wellness Challenge and care a bit more for yourself with a meditation class, a new exercise class, or healthy new meals to keep you well.
There are numerous areas of wellness that you can improve, so join a class in multiple areas to meet other like-minded older adults striving for wellness:
Small steps with peers can lead to long-term healthy habits in your lifestyle as you meet others who share your passion for wellness!
We challenge learners to take at least 10 classes on health and wellness this month.
That’s just two classes a week in August.
Wellness classes come in many forms from fitness to healthy eating, or mental and physical well-being. Find all the classes here in our Wellness Challenge Series.
Each week we will focus on a different aspect of wellness for the challenge. However, you can take classes from any area throughout the month!
1. Healthy eating (8/1-8/7)
2. Physical Health (8/8-8/14)
3. Mental wellbeing (8/15-8/21)
4. Fitness (8/22-8/28)
5. Brain Health (8/29-9/4)
Learners who complete 10 classes from this series will get a certificate of completion.
The top 3 learners who complete the most classes in our wellness series during the month will also get a special GetSetUp gift.
Join your peers and take the challenge to improve your health and wellness!
