From Mon, Oct 4, 2021 – Fri, Oct 8, 2021, GetSetUp is joining the International Council of Active Aging to celebrate aging and the benefits of active living at any age. Active Aging Week was initiated by the International Council of Active Aging to celebrate aging and to promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle on a national scale. During this week organizations provide free activities to promote positive age-friendly wellness programs.
For this week GetSetUp has put together a special Active Aging Week Series of Classes!
Taking steps to be more active as you age is as simple as getting started. We have a whole community of other active agers to help celebrate your success!
Step 1: Joining the challenge is simple just attend one class and you are automatically enrolled! GetSetUp Active Aging Series
Step 2: Participate in the daily 10k steps challenge. Each day of this week we challenge you to walk 10,000 steps.
Step 3: Stay accountable by posting a picture of you and your watch or your watch showing your 10,000 steps to the GetSetUp Facebook Community Group. Feel free to include any other pictures or share other ways you stay active as you age too! We can’t wait to celebrate together!
For this Active Aging Week celebrate aging and the benefits of active living at any age with fellow active agers on GetSetUp. Guide Pilar will be leading walking classes in both English -Indoor Walking Workout and Spanish - Como Caminar Sin Salir de La Casa. This week she is leading our active aging 10k steps challenge but we have lots of other active aging classes like Yoga, Tai Chi, and more. So no matter how you like to stay active, you are sure to find members of the GetSetUp community that shares your passions. Come celebrate active aging with us!
