You may have heard your kids or grandkids talk about TikTok, but you're still not exactly sure what it is and how to use it. In a nutshell, it's a social media platform where users share various videos, including comedy, dance, education, and much more. One of TikTok's most popular and unique features is duets. Duets allow you to record your own video alongside someone else's. And, we're here to show you that it's easier than you might think to become a "TikToker."
If you would like to try "duetting" a video, first you'll need to download the TikTok app on the App Store or Google Play, then follow the simple instructions below. So let's get you started!

2. At the bottom of the sidebar menu on the right, tap the arrow button - this is the Share button.
3. At the bottom of the "Share to" menu that pops up, tap "Duet."
4. Tap the red button at the bottom of the screen to start recording your video. Your video will be on the left, while the existing video will be playing on the right.
5. When you're finished, tap the checkmark at the bottom right of the screen.
6. Check your duet to make sure it's to your liking, then proceed to add a description of your video with relevant hashtags such as #GetSetUp or #TikTokOver50
7. Post your video!
Then get ready for friends, family, and fans to watch and like your video. See if your friends can duet your video too or make a cooler duet.
