Announcing GetSetUp Cookbook Project

Over the last two years, GetSetUp has built a global community of passionate individuals who love food. Through cooking classes and by opening up their kitchens, they have shown us how food can bring people together and help them stay connected no matter where in the world they are.

Together, millions of our community members have shared their passion for food, showcased their cultures, and found comfort in each unique recipe shared and learned online. This gave us an idea. We could capture hundreds of years of traditions and recipes from our members into a book that can be passed down through generations.

In 2022, we want to showcase food diversity and capture the essence of what makes food special to each one of you.

It does not matter if you are a top chef or a home chef. If you love to cook and are passionate about food, share your plant-based recipe with us, and it might make it into our cookbook. The recipe could be your original creation or something passed down through generations

Make sure to tell us a little about your recipe when you send us an email! We want to know about you, the story behind your recipe and what makes it so special to you.

Now, remember, like Martha Stewart said, “There is no single recipe for success (we believe even for the perfect dish). But, there is one essential ingredient: Passion”.

Be as creative as you want or send in the simplest of your recipes. Each recipe is unique, and we want to learn more about you and the food you create.

Why should you participate?

If you love cooking and are passionate about food, this is an opportunity to share your love with others in the community. A lot of you might believe your recipe is not that special. Trust us it is. There is always someone in the world who might feel a special connection with the recipe you create. The GetSetUp community is a great way to connect with others who have similar tastes, curiosity, and passion for food.
Sharing your family recipe or favorite recipe with the community will help to break cultural barriers and bring people closer.
Over the last year, our community has connected and made a difference in each other's lives by improving food choices, exploring global cuisine, and introducing new cooking techniques. We now want to make this an integral part of the community because we know that your recipe and cooking skills could make a difference in someone's life.

What are we looking for?

Plant-based recipes: use any or all of these ingredients: whole grains, beans, lentils, and vegetables.
Origin: We want to know about you, the story behind your recipe and what makes it so special to you.
Clear Instructions: When submitting recipes, please write out ingredients, measurements and directions.

Entries will be shortlisted based on above criteria. Decision taken by GetSetUp is final and binding on all matters relating to this Cookbook project.

How can I submit my recipe?

Send in your Name, Phone number, City, and Recipe on social@getsetup.io

You can type or include a photo of your handwritten recipe as an attachment.

Share your recipe

Process of Selection:

After the deadline for submission, we will select 50 recipes from the entries received.
If you are selected, our team will connect with you and share details on next steps.
The selected 50 community members will co-host a cooking class on GetSetUp and demonstrate their recipe.
At the end of the project, 32 recipes from the 50 selected get featured in our cookbook!

‍What happens if my recipe is not selected?

If your recipe does not meet the guidelines required of our content team at the current time, our team will connect with you.
We will connect with you for a short feature on our blog, where we will feature you and your passion for cooking.
This means that over 4 million people get to view your recipe from all over the world.
We will provide you with a link to your blog feature, which you can share with your family and friends.

Can I submit my recipe in the future?

Depending on the success and the first response to our cookbook, we will be planning our next cookbook soon.

Can I share my recipes again?

We will be running more such campaigns, and we welcome you to re-share your recipes.
