The holidays are just around the corner. Whether you need to de-stress from the hubbub of planning and festivities, are participating in the New Year Fitness Countdown, or just want to get moving, join us for these upcoming fitness classes.

New Year Fitness Countdown: Aerobics class 

On Tuesday, December 14, join this class with gentle cardio, emphasizing proper form while moving. The class is designed to increase core body temperature safely and raise heart and respiration rate. The rate of perceived exertion scale will be used to determine the intensity of the workout. Modifications are provided to allow learners of all fitness levels to participate. You’ll learn how to improve cardiovascular fitness, modify an aerobic workout to fit your needs, and how to determine how hard you’re working out using Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE).

Ageless Grace: Exercises for the Body and Mind

On Wednesday, December 15, Guide Ellen will explore an exercise regimen based on the science of neuroplasticity. It is a seated fitness program that works the core and activates all brain functions - analytical, strategic, kinesthetic learning, memory/recall, creativity, and imagination. You'll also learn about the 21 different "aging factors" in the body.

Healthy Lifestyle with Yoga

On Thursday, December 16, join Binda for yoga, a practice which connects the breath, body, and mind. It uses physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to improve overall health. You’ll learn yoga poses and the benefits of yoga. Connect with yourself and stay healthy.

 Dance Fitness: Movement To Music

Round out the week on Friday, December 17, with a dance class. You’ll warm up with balance and flexibility exercises, use aerobic exercises to get some cardio in, and then finally work on your strength by targeting major muscle groups. All this to some foot-tapping music! Join this class to get comfortable with the exercise and have some fun along the way
