Celebrating Mexican American Heritage Cinco de Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) is celebrated to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory at the Battle of Puebla in 1892. It is the classic story of the underdog, the smaller Mexican force, winning out against who was thought to win, the larger French force.

Ironically the date has become more popularly celebrated in the United States than in Mexico and has shifted to a Mexican-American cultural celebration which first started in California with the recognition of this holiday and gained popularity in the US in the 1980s.

So join together with other GetSetUp community members to celebrate Mexican-American heritage with a special Mexican Fiesta Series.
