National Photography Month is a great way to capture our cherished memories, preserve history, share culture, and preserve a moment. Throughout May we encourage our learners to celebrate their artistic talent as photographers! May first became national photography month in 1987 and since then has been a month to celebrate photography with competitions, exhibitions and lots of activities. The GetSetUp community is celebrating photography month with a photo series and a fun photo challenge!
Guide Scott is celebrating photography with a weekly photo challenge. Make sure you submit your photos to him at scott-the-guide@getsetup.io
Each week has a different themed photo for submission.
May 7 - Spring Flowers
May 14 - Birds
May 21 - Dogs
May 28 - Cats
Photos are shared during the Photo Challenge of the Week class, Scott gives constructive feedback and discussion, and then they're voted on.
The challenge winner each week gets a gift from GSU.
In classes Scott will be sharing the secrets to great photography. So make sure you check out the photography series to learn more. However, as a sneak peek for photographers itching to start clicking he recommends:
