Mary, 69, first discovered GetSetUp in August 2020 when she was laid off from her job as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. She was looking for ways to stay active and engaged when she learned about the platform from the Wyoming Department of Health. 

"I thought it was an interesting concept, and I started looking around to do exercising, and it just kind of blossomed in from there."

Since discovering GetSetUp two years later, Mary has had a fantastic experience with the platform. 

"I like the variety that is offered. With classes available at various times of day, it's easy to find something that fits your schedule. I think that's helpful for people because some of us are early morning people, and some of us have evolved into being more of a 'sleep in' type." 

Mary has particularly enjoyed the dance and movement classes on GetSetUp. She has appreciated the vivacious and helpful instructors on the platform, including Pilar Rodriguez's fitness classes, Stacy Robinson's aerobics classes, and Shirley Mitchell's dance classes.

"The personalities and the music help. I really have enjoyed doing [the classes]." 

She has even noticed an improvement in her flexibility and balance as a result of participating in these classes. In addition to physical fitness, GetSetUp also offers travel classes, like one Mary recently attended about Forbidden Sites in Iran, which are helping to expand her worldview.

Mary has had a positive experience with GetSetUp and believes it is a great way for people to try new things and improve their physical fitness. When asked if she would recommend GetSetUp to friends, she said yes.

 "I think for people who are more confined to home, [GetSetUp] would be a real good thing. We're a rural state, so it's important to have something available for people, so they don't have to drive 50 miles to go to an exercise class."
