GetSetUp, the online social learning platform for older adults, is celebrating its third anniversary, and we're taking stock of what we’ve accomplished, what we’ve learned and what’s still to come.  

GetSetUp’s co-founders initially built the site for  their parents and older loved ones. They wanted to create a learning and discovery platform for older adults. We have learned more and more about the diverse aging demographic over the past three years. 

Older people are looking for different kinds of experiences. Experiences that are designed for them and by them. They want to continue learning, exploring, and making meaningful connections with others.  

At GetSetUp, we recognize the value of older adults' experiences and knowledge, and we are committed to providing a platform where diverse members of this large and diverse demographic can continue to grow and thrive. Since our inception, GetSetUp has continued to add more diverse classes to support and address the needs of the diverse subgroups within the aging population covering topics from health and wellness to technology skills on devices, software and more, and addressing interests around one quality of life including cooking, travel, and the arts. We have added additional classes on upskilling and reskilling for those looking to work and entrepreneurship classes as well for those looking to enhance their own business. Specialized classes have been offered to address the needs of specific groups like Veterans.

Over the past three years, we have worked to create a valuable platform that offers a range of online learning and social experiences for older adults, and we couldn't have achieved this without your help.
